I love Luis Royo. He has to be one of favourite artists at present.
Looking up Dorian Cleavenger, I realised his works were, in a way, very similar to that of Royo's - but for some unknown reason I wasn't a big fan. Some of Cleavenger's pieces were fantastic, don't get me wrong, but where as Royo's boarders the sci fi/fantasy/erotica lines, Cleavenger seems to go a step beyond that.
Now, I'm not saying I dislike Cleavenger. He's very talented, and very imaginative, but Royo still got my vote for this week's Pic of the Week. His work seems to have an unfinished look about it which, in my eyes, makes it perfect.
Yay for Royo . . .
Enjoy!
Agreed that is has an "unfinished" look that suits it. Very cool.
ReplyDeleteI love it. Looks amazing.
ReplyDeleteThanks guys. That's Luis Royo for you. Did I mention that I love his work??...lol
ReplyDeleteIt's the black halo around the outside that gives it that appearance and in some pictures it's very effective, forcing you to focus on the subject.
ReplyDeleteArt lesson over, it is a great picture.
