I love a good thunderstorm. We don't enough in the UK, but we were in for a treat in the early hours of this morning. All across the south of the UK (maybe even further) we were graced by a mega storm. I've waited all year for this and hopefully we're in for some more this weekend too. Here's hoping.
So for Pic of the Week I thought I'd share a few photos taken from last night.
Enjoy.

we have them almost every summer afternoon and I don't like them because they tend to cause sudden powercuts and destruction of house appliances. I've already lost a TV this year due to thunderstorms
ReplyDeleteah man, that sucks! I suppose if we had them every summer evening I'd hate them too, but seeing as they're a seldom thing...I can't help but love them :)
DeleteI've never seen photos so beautiful even in spite of dangerous storms. Awesome!
ReplyDeleteAren't they?! And there were so many to choose from too. So spectacular! :)
DeleteI have always loved thunderstorms also though living in the country as I do, they sometimes mean we'll lose power for a while. Beautiful pictures.
ReplyDeleteThose are GORGEOUS! I heart me a wicked storm, as well; they inspire in me a combo of deep awe and a healthy respect for the raw power of nature. I'm in NY and we've seen a bunch of thunderstorms this summer. During one, I was at a nail salon, sitting by the glass storefront, waiting for my turn, when the brewing storm broke loose just above the shop. Dude, that uncanny flicker of light, with the almost immediate barking crack of thunder, just about made me jump out of my skin! :-) I think I may actually like seeing storms from afar, versus having them rage directly overhead. :-D
ReplyDeleteWOW!! Those are amazing pictures!!
