Pic of the Week . . . Luis Royo

Since doing Pic of the Week, I've come across and have shared some wonderful and talented artists that I never knew existed.  Their stunning works of art has both awed and inspired me.  But after everyone I've ever listed I still hold Luis Royo at the top of my list.  I absolutely love his work - always have - and even though some of his pieces are a little on the 'risque' side, what he creates is beautiful, mysterious, dark and entriguing.

I just couldn't help myself this week. Whenever I look for a new piece of art, I always come across something by Luis Royo. Today was of no exception, so I decided on another of his pieces. He is, after all, one of my favourite artists . . .

Pic of the Week . . . Luis Royo V's Dorian Cleavenger . . .

I love Luis Royo. He has to be one of favourite artists at present.

Looking up Dorian Cleavenger, I realised his works were, in a way, very similar to that of Royo's - but for some unknown reason I wasn't a big fan. Some of Cleavenger's pieces were fantastic, don't get me wrong, but where as Royo's boarders the sci fi/fantasy/erotica lines, Cleavenger seems to go a step beyond that.

Now, I'm not saying I dislike Cleavenger. He's very talented, and very imaginative, but Royo still got my vote for this week's Pic of the Week. His work seems to have an unfinished look about it which, in my eyes, makes it perfect.

Yay for Royo . . .
