Pic of the Week . . . Lauren K. Cannon

This week I'd like to introduce to you Lauren K. Cannon. She was born in New Jersey, USA in 1986 and is fascinated with the strange, the macarbre and the beautiful.

Her work is just amazing. I love the eye of this piece. There's something mellow yet haunting about it, and I think this chance discovery is worth more than gold. Check out the website of Lauren K. Cannon to see more of her work.

Have a great weekend and enjoy!

  1. That's beautiful. It reminds me of H.R. Giger in a way. Or possibly the artist that goes by Brom.

  2. Wow, this is a great one. The crow/raven headdress is especially entrancing. I like the subtle little cut it's created.

  3. The viewer is drawn to the eye and away from everything else as it stands out...as does the hair drawing blood on the chest.

  6. I think the viewers are supposed to be drawn to the eye. In a piece that comprises of subtle hints of green, the redness of the eye truly stands out. A very subtle yet beautiful piece. I love it.
